Krissy's Chicken Taco Soup

1/2 onion
1 garlic clove, minced or garlic powder
1 TB olive oil
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp oregano
28 oz crushed tom or tom sauce
1-2 can chicken broth
1 1/4 C water
2 C corn
4 oz geen chilies
15 oz black beans, drained
1/4 C cilantro, chopped
2 chicken breasts

Sautee chicken, onion, olive oil. Shred or cut up chicken. Combine all ingredients and simmer until beans are soft or put in crock pot. Eat with tortilla chips, cheese and sour cream. I like this one because you can put it in the crock pot all day on low or just on the stove really low for 1/2 - 1 hour. Of course we leave out the onion (Ray is anti-onion) and I just add a dash of garlic powder instead of a whole clove. I also make my own chicken broth with the powder, it always seems easiest to just have that on hand than have cans of broth.
