Chocolate Chip Cookies

We have a friend that has always raved about her husband's cookies. Ray made cookies for his HT families last night so we gave this recipe a shot for the first time. I love CCcookies and haven't found a recipe I love lately but this is scrumptious dough and superb cookies. It has lots of chocolate chips in it. We were very impressed.

1 1/2 C sugar
2 C brown sugar
1 lb margarine (I used butter)
2 Tb vanilla
3 eggs
6 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp b. soda
2 packages chocolate chips

Cream sugar and butter, add eggs, vanilla and then dry ingredients. Bake at 350* for 13 minutes or so.
This is a really big recipe, I only had 2 eggs so I made 2/3rds of the recipe and it made about 3 1/2 dozen.
