Macaroni and Cheese

This is an easy way to make homemade mac and cheese because you use the microwave instead of the stovetop and it is one of our favorites! p.s. Krissy would you mind posting your cheesy chicken dish? Thanks!

2 c. elbow macaroni
2 T. butter
1/2 t. ground mustard
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 lb. extra sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 T. flour
3/4 t. salt
dash pepper

Cook a generous 2 c. macaroni. Drain, rinse and put 1/2 in casserole dish. In 2 c. glass measuring cup melt butter. Add flour, mustard, s & p. Mix until smooth. Add milk. Heat in microwave at 1 min. intervals, stirring in between until hot (about 3 min.) Sprinkle 1/2 cheese over macaroni in casserole. Add remaining macaroni and top with rest of cheese. Pour milk mixture over all and stir until mixed. Add additional cheese to top if desired. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 min.
